Reach the Airport in just 36 minutes.
Skyliner travels the Narita Sky Access Line at maximum 160 km/hr, connecting Nippori and Airport Terminal 2 stations in 36 minutes. Compared to the former Keisei Main Line route in 51 minutes, we shortened the travel time by 15 minutes, thus achieving a great time saving.
The speed of 160 km/hr is the fastest among Japan's conventional trains. With introduction of Skyliner, world-class international airport access comparable to European or North American airports.
The interior design concept is “gallant” -- eliminating the needless, yet realizing a gallant and comfortable space.
We realized a gallant compartment space with a spacious dome-shaped ceiling (25 cm higher than the existing trains) and ample use of glass materials that gives a sense of clarity and freshness.
Seats
We secured a spacious room with a 1050 mm seat pitch and 470 mm width. An AC power outlet is located at the foot for your PC. You can safely place an A4-size notebook PC on a folding table, even when the seat in front of you is reclined.
We widened the opening of the luggage space to approximately 1500 mm. We situated the luggage space within eyesight from the seats, and also installed security cameras at the luggage space and decks.
We secured a 1000 mm door width for smooth boarding of wheelchair passengers. Multi-purpose toilets can meet needs of ostomate passengers. A baby bed and a baby harness are installed for passengers with babies and small children.
